On le retrouve sur le pourtour m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en et dans les pays au climat temp\u00e9r\u00e9. Le zeste de son fruit, l\u2019Orange Am\u00e8re, fournit une essence utilis\u00e9e dans les liqueurs et les vins ap\u00e9ritifs (Grand Marnier, Cura\u00e7ao, Cointreau, etc.). Les fleurs d\u2019Oranger Amer sont blanches ou roses, tr\u00e8s odorantes et plus grandes que celles de l\u2019Oranger Doux.
